About Us When the Merrick-Bellmore Community Concert Association was first organized in 1953, the small band of classical music lovers who started it never imagined that their little group of subscribers and supporters would see the organization grow so rapidly. At its peak MBCCA had over 1,000 loyal subscribers and a waiting list that was the envy of other community concert organizations. During its 56 years MBCCA has been proud to have presented such talented artists as Isaac Stern, Yitzhak Perlman, Andre Watts, the Russian Seasons Dance Company, the Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet, Hungarian Virtuosi Orchestra, Dallas Brass, the Vivaldi Orchestra of Moscow, and the Prague Chamber Orchestra, to name just a few. We have also presented diverse groups such as The Klezmer Conservatory Band, Red Priest, and Forbidden Broadway. In 2007, MBCCA was one of a select group of sponsors of the Cleveland International Piano Competition, and during our 2008-2009 concert series was pleased to showcase the first place winner, Alexander Ghindin. Today the volunteer Officers and Board of Directors of MBCCA strive to carry on the work of our founders by presenting diverse facets of the music, dance and entertainment industry in its search for quality talent. Our goal has been, and always will be, to provide quality music to our members. And that we do, as attested to by our subscriber base of fans from more than 63 different communities throughout Long Island, New York City and Northern New Jersey. Join us and become part of this select group. We welcome you and look forward to seeing you at our concerts for many years to come.
